Art show in Waterloo, Ontario

about me:
i am a writer and artist from Blyth, Ontario. i write for various publications across Canada including Christian Week, Faith Today, Adbusters, Geez, and Focus on the Family. i have written three books in the past year, and am working on my fourth. and when i'm not writing, i paint.
my husband, Trenton, is a math and science teacher. we live in a cute home in rural Ontario. together we help my father take care of my mother who has brain cancer, work with youth, and make wine.
i love to travel; last year trent and i taught english in Korea, and this past october i visited Australia. i've also been to Jordan, Lebanon, Thailand, China, Japan, Mexico, the States, Holland, England and Germany. when i was young, i lived in Africa along with my parents who were missionaries.
i hope to share my freelance and artistic journey with you, to draw you into whatever writings or paintings i may be working on and to hopefully engage you in discussion.
writers are nothing without their readers. painters are nothing without their viewers. so thank you for joining me on this adventure. i hope indeed to make words--and images--come to life before your eyes.
i will be updating this site frequently so please feel free to check back every once in awhile.
live purposely and lovingly, finding meaning through childlike eyes.
peace, emily.
