zip-lining with my two-year-old

we're leaving RockRidge Canyon tomorrow, heading home, and we're leaving behind this zip line and barge parties and midnight swims.

and this camp has reminded me i'm a woman, not just a mother or a wife, and has let me laugh louder than i have in a long time.

and sometimes we just need to do this, girls. we need to face our fears, let down our hair, and fly. our loved ones rooting us on.

  3. Un.be.liev.able. CONGRATULATIONS. I don't think I could do that - I'd die from a panic attack. Fabulous - so glad you've had this time to thrive and remember who you are, em. SO glad.

  6. I was all prepared to leave a touching comment, and then I heard Trent's final comment and I'm just left laughing. So glad you had a great time out there and really let your hair down. Play is good for the soul and should be done daily, in my opinion. As for me, I have serious potential to become an adventure sport junkie, given half a chance.

  7. So thankful for this time for you! I love how the Lord surprises us. How when we think this couldn't possibly be a good time or thing and then it turns out to be just the very thing we needed after all. Laughter, freeing times, so good to be reminded of so many things.

  8. I thought I was brave to zipline in Nicaragua --- but to zipline with a child in your arms! I've always admired your fearlessness in the honesty of your writing, and now I admire your bravery in the physical, too. Love & blessings.

  9. I love that you zip-lined with your handsome little guy! Several years back now, the summer after our little guy passed away, we were blessed with the opportunity to go to a Young Life family camp here in Colorado. It was all those things you said, and healing to my bones. So glad you got away and were able to soar. Makes me want to snatch up my almost 2 year old and do the same. xoxox
